Intelligent Forms

COSS Intelligent Forms, or iForms, are more than just electronic forms. These interactive and intelligent forms are an integral part of your new business submission system. iForms guarantee error-proof submission of insurance applications and forms following your specific business rules for data submission.

When you answer a question on an iForm, validation engines verify that the answer is within the parameters established by your business practices. Business rules are validated at the field, section, page and form level, and again upon package completion. Validation ensures you or your producers provide all the information required to quickly process new business. The virtually eliminate the need to go back for additional information, and sharply reduce the number of applications returned “not in good order.” The iForms system speeds the underwriting process and raises your capacity to manage new business.

The Intelligent Forms module features an easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) that helps you or your producers select the correct iForms. iForms will also generate additional questions or supplementary forms as determined by your answers. Multiple forms will automatically appear, for example, if fields such as “aviation” or “check-o-matic” are checked. This helps simplify and speed up the underwriting process and makes sure that all necessary forms are submitted with the application.

Finally, iForms reduces the need to store and inventory forms, and ensures that in-field producers always use the most current forms.

Integration and Security are the Keys
Using iForms as a part of a complete front-end selling system allows data to flow seamlessly from illustration, client management, needs analysis or other compatible modules into the appropriate forms, eliminating the need to re-key data. COSS employs industry-standard XML, XMLife and TXLife to integrate with third-party systems.

For example, after the need has been established and the appropriate product illustration has been generated to meet the client’s unique situation, the producer can fill out the application quickly, with all of the relevant data already completed. The application is ready to be signed, printed and faxed—or submitted electronically—to the home office. iForms will even capture, encrypt and submit electronic signatures.

If changes are made after a signature is captured, the signature is voided and a new signature capture is required. This helps to ensure security and eliminate the possibility of signature misuse.
