The following databases are supported by COSS systems, divided according to platform:

Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP

Data can be stored in a SQL or Oracle database. Storage capacity is limited only by the configuration of the database, application, and web servers the system is deployed on. COSS systems utilize standard relational database management systems (RDMS), such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL server, DB2, UDB, and other ODBC- or JDBC-compliant data sources.

J2EE Platform
Java attempts to be database neutral. The COSS J2EE application will run on any database for which there is a JDBC drive supporting JDBC version 1.2 or later. Most databases have this support including DB/2, Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, Cloudscape, HSql, etc. In terms of platforms, we support any platform which can run JDK version 1.3 or later. This includes anything that IBM builds (mainframes, AS400, AIX, OS/2) plus Linux, Mac (OS X), Windows 95/98, NT, 2000, XP, ME, etc.
